Founded in 2020 by Jessica Papp in Toronto, Canada, Hotpot Variety is a labor of love that embraces sustainability and the ethos of slow fashion. Papp is a self-taught maker who enjoys working and experimenting with various textiles.

The name Hotpot Variety is inspired by Jess’ Vietnamese heritage and upbringing. Hot pot is a throw-everything-in-together soup that is generally enjoyed in a communal setting, and no bowl is ever alike. And just like the soup, every piece that is created is completely one-of-a-kind.
